Michael
Woolf is recovering in the intensive care unit of Wellington
Hospital from a cardiac arrest he suffered on Monday morning.
He collapsed in the grounds of the hospital while attending
a routine appointment. The proximity of resuscitation equipment
saved his life. He spent 24 hours in an induced coma, and
started to wake up this morning and speak to people. He
appears to be out of immediate danger, but is likely to
face a long period of recuperation.
Michael was in good health and has just returned from an
extensive overseas trip. This episode was completely unexpected.
His wife Jill, sons Nick, Jeremy and Tony, brother John,
and grandson Josh are at his bedside or returning from various
parts of the world.
They ask for privacy for the time being.
Could all enquiries or messages for Michael and the family
be directed to myself until further notice.
