The Venue
The Palmerston North Speirs Centre is the magnificent location for our convention. The Speirs Centre is on Featherston Street, which is close to central Palmerston North. It is a modern arts complex, designed for the teaching of drama and music. The complex consists of a quality theatre that seats 370 people, several large rooms suitable for workshops, and other excellent facilities. Click here [FIRSTNAME] to veiw convention centre.

The Schedule
The convention will open with mingling and meeting from 4:00pm on Friday the 20th October and will finish at Lunchtime on Monday the 23rd October. There will be Competitions, International Gala Show, Workshops, Lectures, Banquet, Cabaret, and Dealers. Lunches, morning and afternoon teas, will be supplied, allowing you more time in and around the Convention venue.

Early Bird Registrations
Early bird registrations must be received by Tuesday 1st August 2006.
Early bird registration will be accepted in full or on payment of 50% of the registration fee provided the balance is paid by the 20th September 2006.

Refunds of registration fee, less 20% administration fee, will be made on cancellations received prior to 20th September 2006. Refunds on cancellation received after that date will be at the discretion of the organisers.

Competitions
The main categories of Stage (senior/junior), Close Up Magic (senior/junior) and Children's Entertainer will be held as traditional competitions. We are allocating places in order of registration. All other competitions will be run in conjunction with the main categories or informally and voted on by fellow conventioneers.

Remember that Palmerston North is a popular Conference venue, and accommodation could be scarce over Labour Weekend.

Please book accommodation as soon as possible and make sure you mention you are coming for the New Zealand International Magicians' Convention.
