27th New Zealand International Magicians
Convention Update

In this update: dealers, competitions - and the big news about our banquet

Dealers:
Wayne Rogers and Jon Zealando will each have dealers stands at the upcoming convention.

They join Michael Ammar, Michael Finney, Charles Gauci, Wayne McEwan and David Ginn - who has sent us so much stuff we don't know where to put it!

The dealers den will be great this year. We have one space left - if you want it email me now at mick@aucklandmagician.com, first one in will get it.

Competition Updates:
- Walk On / Walk Off (Quick Trick) Competition
- Stage Magic Competition
- Strolling Magic Competition
- Childrens Entertainer Competition
- Close Up Magic Competition
- MC Competition

We still have spaces available in the MC, Strolling, Stage and Walk On / Walk Off (Quick Trick) Competitions. Those already registered for competitions have been notified via their confirmation sheet included with their receipt. Additional competition entries in full events will be noted on our waiting list and you shall be notified if any spots open up.

Banquet:
It's our anniversary - and you're invited. Sunday night will feature a sumptuous banquet - the Spencer on Byron's restaurant team was awarded five medals during the National Salon Culinare 2003 (NZ's largest hospitality show), including the gold medal for Hot Kitchen Restaurant of the Year! We are proud to be able to offer you the opportunity to experience this award winning dining.

And what about magic?

You're also in for some top performances by local talent and our headliners! International talent performing special material at our banquet includes:

* Michael Ammar: World champion magician, recognised as one of the most influential magicians of the twentieth century.

* Charles Gauci: The Magician's Magician - magic and mentalism so powerful it fools his peers!

* Michael Finney: One of the top comedy magicians in the world today! Oh and did we mention he was hilarious?

Remember people, one banquet ticket is INCLUDED in your convention registration.

Additional tickets are now available at $65 a head and can be purchased by sending payment along with your details to:

Convention Banquet
Shore City Magicians Club
PO Box 23
Takanini
South Auckland

Extra tickets must be booked before the end of May. As we have limited space available for this event we must request that full and total payment for the required number of extra tickets be recieved with your order.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The free ticket offer with each convention registration will end when we fill all positions that we have set aside for convention registrants - so this means that those who register late are NOT guaranteed positions at the banquet.

Tell a friend!

We're continually being surprised by people contacting us who are only hearing about the convention now! Publicity has been running through Magiciana and Magic New Zealand for months now to keep everyone informed, but it seems that there are people out there who still haven't heard about the biggest thing in New Zealand magic in 2004 - they'll be kicking themselves later. If you have friends in magic - encourage them to join you! We're bringing you a world class event.

Only a month to go!
