We are very pleased to report the recent NZ earthquakes have cause no structural damage to the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor. In March 2016 the James Cook finished off their year long earthquake strengthening project, and so are at 100% of the National Building Standard code.

We have booked the entire 16th floor for the 2017 New Zealand Magic Convention. The main lecture room, morning/afternoon tea room, dealer’s room, toilets and areas to mix and mingle are all located right here on the 16th floor which makes getting to convention events a breeze.
