position of Editor Emeritus.
Co-Editor of Oracle Magic Magazine 2006 - 2009
Author of numerous feature articles, editorials, trick
articles, reviews, etc., in a variety of magic and non-magic
publications, including the acclaimed biography of Dariel
Fitzkee, Finding Dariel Fitzkee.
Inventor of Golden Oldies, You're the Star, Mega-Bingo,
Pip-Squeak, and several other tricks.
Three-time lecturer at the S.A.M National Convention,
lecturer at The Florida State Magicians Convention, The Midwest
Magic Jubilee, the Japan Magicians Association convention,
The Austrian Magicians Association Convention, and several
regional conventions and magic clubs.
Presenter at Jeff McBride's Magic and Meaning workshop.
David
is an Honorary Member of The Society of American Magicians
and is also a Past National President of that organization.
He is also a member of the S.A.M. Magic Hall of Fame.
He has been a member of the S.A.M. and I.B.M. for nearly 50
years.
He was elected a member of The Inner Magic Circle of London
with Gold Star.
He is the recipient of a Literary Fellowship from The Academy
of Magical Arts (Magic Castle) and of a Literary Award from
the Milbourne Christopher Foundation.
David
holds degrees from Harvey Mudd College, Harvard University
and The University of Georgia. Dr. Goodsell, a
title he seldom uses, was a school teacher, college professor
and administrator, headmaster of three prep schools, director
of a science education center and consultant, author and editor
during his 40-year career in education.
David
lives with his wife Jann in Orem, Utah at the foot of the
Wasatch Mountains. She is also a Past National President of
the S.A.M. and is currently National Director of The Society
of Young Magicians.
