FISM
LOST ITS HONORARY PRESIDENT
Broken
Wand - Maurice Pierre (France)
With
great sadness I have to inform you that on the 8th of December
2010 Maurice Pierre, Honorary President of the FISM has passed
away.
Maurice
was the President of the FISM from 1970-1973 and the organizer
of the wonderful FISM convention in 1973 in Paris. In 1979
during the FISM General Assembly of the FISM in Bruxelles
Maurice was appointed Secretary General of the FISM as the
successor of Henk Vermeyden.
During his time as Secretary General he took great care that
FISM stayed the worldwide recognized magic organization.
As
his predecessor was highly respected in the international
magic world, this was not an easy task. However Maurice fullfilled
the job with dignity and wisdom till the year 2000. We are
greatful for his dedication in fulfilling his job.
Maurice
is survived by his wife Denise, who supported and very actively
helped him as FISM's Secretary General. Unfortunately Denise
suffers from a terrible memory disease.
FISM
has all the reasons to say:
"Thank you Maurice for what you have done for FISM.
Rest in peace"
Eric
Eswin
International President of the FISM.
