29th New Zealand International Magicians Convention update #7

Marty and Brenda Hahne - USA

Marty and Brenda Hahne are Dazzling Magic and headliner guest at New Zealand Convention.

Message from Greg Britt (Elgregoe) - TVP - IBM South Island New Zealand

Marty and Brenda Hahne are Dazzling Magic and are coming as special guests to the New Zealand convention in Auckland starting 27th December.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Marty and Brenda two of the nicest people in magic while attending as a guest lecturer at the Magic Show conference. This conference is produced by Marty and Brenda Hahne and Duane and Mary Laflin in Branson Missouri. This annual convention provides much professional and audience tested routines for the serious magician. The early conventions had all the lectures by the Laflins and the Hahnes but as the convention gained momentum guest lecturers were added.

Marty and his wife Brenda were previously from Florida but in 2003 moved to the Ozark Mountains living near the entertainment capital of Branson Missouri. He has been performing magic since he was a teenager and the Hahnes became fulltime performers in 1991.

Their performances include 3 years on cruise ships and now perform nearly 300 shows a year mainly for schools and family audiences. Let's face it many attendees at the New Zealand convention will be family performers so I'm sure will find material they can drop straight into their current shows.

Martys wife Brenda is also an entertaining and busy performer as a ventriloquist. Marty wrote a column "Real World Magic" for Laughmakers Magazine. Many may not realize Dazzling magic has an impressive range of magic for sale, many exclusive items manufactured by them. Marty owns the Elmo range of magic. These high quality items created by magical inventor Gene Elmo who passed away in Florida in 1997 are now produced by Marty.

He builds all the cylinder effects and Brenda does all the silk sewing, dyeing. They specialize in Kid show routines, livestock, silk and stage effects. You can view their impressive range at www.dazzlingmagic.com or see their double dealer's booth at the IBM/SAM convention in Louisville. Or better yet come to the New Zealand Magicians Convention at the Waipuna Lodge Auckland on the 27th December.

Marty is a person who is full of energy on and off stage , and after we attended his conv
